Auditions for "The Amazing Spider-Man: London Calling"

The Amazing Spider-Man: London Calling
Marvel Studios and Arad Productions are ready to start shooting the sequel to "The Amazing Spider Man" this February, 2013 in New York. The casting director for "The Amazing Spider-Man: London Calling" is auditioning actors for starring and co-starring roles.

Stand-ins for the film's actors will be hired closer to the start of filming, as well as extras being cast during the shoot in New York and Los Angeles. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is scheduled for release on May 2, 2014.

Golden Globe Award nominee Andrew Garfield returns as the orphan teen Peter Parker and his alter-ego superhero Spider-Man. Also returning for the sequel is the stunning Golden Globe Award nominee Emma Stone in the role of Parker's high school classmate and love interest Gwen Stacy.

Golden Globe Award nominee Shailene Woodley has been cast as Mary Jane Watson, the same role that Kirsten Dunst had in the Sam Raimi directed previous Spider-Man trilogy. People named Woodley one of 2012 Most Beautiful at Every Age, and she has been nominated for six Teen Choice Awards. Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx has joined the cast playing the villain Electro.

Auditions to be held for Jingle Bells Telethon

Auditions for the 64th annual Jingle Bells Telethon will be held Saturday and Sunday, November 10-11 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Lake Geneva Christian Center in Alexandria.

All talent must audition to qualify for the telethon. The auditions are open to the public and will be on a first come, first served basis. A CD player, microphones and piano are available. A pianist is talent’s responsibility.

Any type of talent is welcome. Past talents have included singing, dancing, musical instruments, basketball handling, martial arts, belly dancing and more.

The 2012 Jingle Bells live telethon will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 5 p.m. at the Lake Geneva Christian Center in Alexandria.

The proceeds of the telethon benefit those in need in Douglas County and surrounding communities.
