Region play group’s agenda auditions for their 2012 shows

Genesius Theatre is asset auditions for its primary two productions of the 2012 amount, "Man of La Mancha," that opens March 16, and "Miss Saigon," that open June 22.

The shows will be heading for by L.J. Fecho, with tune directed by Kevin Cooper, Andrew Cusano and Christopher Sperat.

Auditions will be held Jan. 3, 4 and 5 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. by meeting only at the plays, 10th and Walnut streets.

Manufacture dates are April 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22.
The Alpha/Omega group of actors will grasp civic auditions for the melodic "Blood Brothers" on Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Alpha/Omega drama Arts middle, 301 E. First St.,

Birdsboro. Callbacks will be Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.

The test is open to someone age 13 and elder. There is no test fee and no ready test is needed. The role of the speaker will not be auditioned; all other roles are available.

The Ephrata Performing Arts Center will grasp auditions for its 2012 period on Jan. 7 and 8 from midday to 6 p.m.; and on Jan. 9, 10 and 11 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the
Sharadine Bigler Theatre, 320 Cocalico St., and Ephrata.

African Music and Dance Ensemble

Auditions: Thursday, January 19 (first class meeting time), OCH 107, 5:15 p.m.

No experience necessary. Come to class the first day for the informal audition, ready to learn some rhythms, dance steps, and songs in small groups. After auditions, the instructor will invite those admitted via SIS to register.

Balinese Gamelan Ensemble

Balinese Gamelan Ensemble
Tuesday and Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Gamelan Studio 230B

Linda Burman-Hall, Director

Auditions are at the first class. Each audition consists of playing in the ensemble for a class.

Priority are given to:

1) Music students/grad students
2) percussion students of Music Dept faculty
3) lower division students
(who can build an ensemble across several years),
4) anthropology/linguistics students with SE Asia minor or focus.
5) after all these, students in any major may enroll.
