Gamu Nhengu has confessed that she backed out of auditioning for the X Factor four times in the past.
The Zimbabwean singer, who has lived in Scotland for the last five years, was seen on Saturday night’s show astonishing the judges with her updated version of Katrina and the Waves Walking on Sunshine. The performance won her a place in boot camp and a pleased Simon Cowell told her.
